One thing I just don't get is that sometimes there will be a person who gets really popular, maybe because he or she is a singer or actor, and they at first claim to be a Christian and then they totally blow it by doing so many things that completely contradict God's word! I sometimes wonder if they were even Christians in the first place.
1 John 1:6 says, "If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth." Why are so many Christians these days claiming to be Christians (and maybe they really are), but then compromising and doing ungodly, worldly things?
As Christians we should be so different that people ask us what's different about us. Of course we don't have to be oblivious of everything going on in the world, but at some point there should be a limit. Christians should talk, dress, think and act different then everyone else.
"Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction." -Psalm 1
