In my awesome small group class on Sunday mornings (Tyler Davis's Class) we read about "stupid yellow cows", or idols. Idols are anything that you put more priority on over God. They can be things or they can be desires, such as wanting to have to have the perfect day or wanting your parents trust you to do whatever you want. And obviously it's not wrong to want to have "the perfect day" or have your parents trust you, but when you want those things so much.....it gets to be a problem.

When we get so caught up in life about the little things being perfect, putting that above God, then we need to slow down and realize how much we take things for granted. Chill and remember that God's in control and you don't have to be the one trying to control everything.
